Prairie Pines would like to announce a new service being provided for our community. It is called Respite Care. Respite care provides short-term relief for the primary caregiver (s). It can be arranged for just an afternoon or for several days or weeks. While the primary caregiver is unable to provide the care, Prairie Pines happily steps in and assists with all activities of daily living, while providing a safe, secure, and comfortable place to stay in the primary caregiver's absence. Caring for the caregiver is essential and an integral part of the well-being of all involved when it comes to caring for aging, ailing, or dependent loved ones. This short term break allows the caregiver to focus on themselves for a time, all the while knowing that his or her loved one is being well taken care of, and having their needs met.
